Alvin Lustig
Staff (Look Magazine)
Issues: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7 (1944-45)

Alvin Lustig left sunny Los Angeles for the City that Never Sleeps, to work for Look Magazine as their Visual Research Director. It was in NYC that Lustig’s work broke free from the rigidity of his typographic experimentations.

Lustig experimented with color and form, employing the use of photography, hieroglyph, and handwriting to turn a standard, inter-office newsletter into a beautiful work of art. Glimpses of Lustig's later work can be seen on these pages.
